bu sur le web - a delightful trip down memory lane...

when you have lived in china for half your life, it can be easy to forget the little things from back home. and so, when i watched the youtube link "busurleweb" that emmanuelle sent me last month, i had a delightful trip back in time, full of sweet memories of an era long ago when i still lived in montréal...

listening to aurélia is like a lovely, refreshing breeze on a hot summer day. she is completely unpretentious, full of sincerity and passion, just like i remember my friends back home. after each tasting, i feel like going out and find the wine she described so gingerly, yet with just the right words to make them become alive and real. she doesn't just describe the wines, she gives them a personality, we feel like they should become our friends.

her energy and passion is contagious and i am quite sure that she must be a delightful drinking partner. not because she apparently, from what i read, makes grown men wobbly at the knees as they watch her regular video installments, but because she is so obviously real and so obviously full of love and passion for the nectar of bacchus that we call wine and for which we are all so passionate about.

from hong kong, here is a toast to aurélia , thanks for the passion!
